Perth Hebrew Congregation Inc

The Perth Hebrew Congregation (PHC) has been at the heart of the Perth Jewish community for over 120 years and is the oldest and largest orthodox congregation in Perth. 

A full range of daily tefillah services are held in the shule as well as a number of religious, communal and cultural functions throughout the year.  An extensive educational programme is offered at the shule including dynamic and engaging Bar and Bat Mitzvah programs, as well as weekly Shabbat services for children and educational programs and activities for children, teens and young adults.  

The PHC provides facilities and services to both PHC members and to the broader Perth Orthodox Jewish community including:

  • Management of the Kashrut Authority of Western Australia (KAWA)

  • The Perth Communal Mikvah

  • The PHC Gift & Bookshop 

  • Beth Din services in conjunction with the Sydney and Melbourne Beth Din

  • The Leila Hoffman Perth Torah Education Centre Library.  

  • The Perth Hebrew School Inc

  • The Ruth Landau Harp Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten. 

  • Home of the Kosher Providore

Perth Hebrew School

Established in the 1890's, the Perth Hebrew School provides Jewish education to Jewish children.  Learning includes:

  • Tanach study

  • Ivrit (Hebrew)

  • Chaggim and the cycle of the Jewish year

  • Jewish history

  • Tefilla (prayer)

  • Bar/Bat Mitzvah learning and preparation

Perth Hebrew School Inc is a Trustee for the Council for Jewish Education in Schools (ABN 21 194 706 909). Donations over $2.00 are tax deductible.
