COVID-19 – Perth Lockdown

In light of the imposition of a strict lockdown across metropolitan Perth, Perth Hebrew Congregation and Dianella Shule – Mizrachi Perth will be taking the following actions effective 6:00 pm today, Sunday 31 January 2021, for the duration of the lockdown this week, and until further notice.

Shule premises will be fully closed. Entry into the Shule will not be available at all for any reason.

There will be no minyanim held in any manner, private or public, indoors or outdoors.

The plan for other Shule activities, including shiurim, will be communicated by each shule independently.

These directions are subject to change at any time any section of this document may be revoked or amended on a temporary or permanent basis at the discretion of the rabbis and president.
As previously, the Covid-19 situation has changed at very short notice. No doubt, it will continue to do so. Our ability to adapt and respond to the changing environment will also continue to be vital. More importantly, we must not allow this uncertainty to lead to panic; we have done very well to date by adhering to the advice of the public health experts and it is more likely than not that, at their direction, this outbreak will be contained, allowing a return to the freedom we have so far experienced.
