DR MICHAEL LEVITT
President
Michael celebrated his bar mitzvah at PHC when the shule was in Brisbane Street and Rabbi Coleman was our Chief Rabbi. He is married to Carolyn and has three adult children and three grandchildren.
Michael has been President of PHC since 2019 and absolutely loves PHC’s engaged and supportive membership.
He is a surgeon of over thirty years’ experience and is a member of the Medical Executive at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
PNINA LEVINE
Board Member
Pnina has had a strong connection with the PHC since coming to Perth with her family in 1988 and considers the Shule community to be like an extended family. She feels strongly that the Shule has an important role to play in ensuring Jewish continuity in Perth and generally, and is proud to be a part of its past, present and future.
Outside of shule and community activities, Pnina teaches and researches in law.
DANIEL MORRIS
Board Member & Honorary Solicitor of the PHC
I am proud to serve Perth’s Jewish Community as PHC’s Honorary Solicitor and member of PHC’s Board.
I spend much of my time in various legal pursuits, providing specialist construction law advice, advocating in trials and appeals, writing for diverse publications including the Australian Law Journal and the International Construction Law Review, lecturing at several universities, assisting the Society of Construction Law’s academic subcommittee, participating in law reform and developing legal software as a service. To unwind, I like to go ballroom dancing and swimming.
There is nothing, though, that I find nearly as gratifying as having the opportunity to make some small contribution to the life of the Jewish community, my own community and the community in which, please G-d, I hope one day to bring up a family of my own. I am grateful to the members of PHC for having honoured me with this opportunity.
ADAM LEVINE
Vice President
Adam is proud to serve as the Vice President of the shule, and has been on the board for a number of years.
Together with his family, Pnina, Rafael, Aaron and Ezra, he is a real PHC regular, with the shule being his second home!
When not doing shule work (which seems to take up a lot of his time) Adam is a partner with a global law firm, specialising in company law, and also heads up its pro bono practice across Australia.
MICHAEL WAINSTEIN
Secretary
Michael is a proud member of the PHC Board, currently serving as its Secretary and ‘master’ of the PHC choir.
He and his wife Debbie and have three children, Jarred, Dean and Kaila who all have a long association with the PHC.
Outside of shul activities, Michael works for an engineering company and is responsible for project cost controls as well as the implementation of the project controls system.
