Born and raised in South Florida, Rabbi Yitzhak Berdugo studied at Yeshivat Beth Moshe Chaim (Talmudic University) in Miami Beach and received his semikha under the auspices of its Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Yochanan Moshe Zweig.While further studying in New York, Rabbi Berdugo received his Yoreh Yoreh from Rabbi Eliyahu Ben Haim, Rosh Yeshiva and Av Bet Din of BaDas Mekor Haim, Queens, New York, followed by a Qabalah in shehița and in lung-checking.Following in the path of the illustrious Rabbanim of the Berdugo family, Rabbi Berdugo has written extensively on Halakha and has authored his own responsa covering a variety of topics.
