Goals are Dreams with a Deadline!
That sentence captured my attention and I LOVED it saying it over and over in my head.
Don’t put your Dreams into The Drawer - loved this one too!
Lori, spoke about making our dreams reality. She made it sound so easy to do.
She’s done it - why can’t we?
She asked us to write down some of our dreams and then.... if comfortable discuss them with the person next to you.
I’ve never verbalized my dreams as I’ve literally just written them. I stepped out of my comfort zone again, I seem to be on a roll.
The third sentence Lori said that I loved and completely agreed with was -
Life Begins at The End of Your Comfort Zone.
Think about that one ...
A gorgeous Israeli Woman was called up to talk about her life and growing up in Israel.
Shani was born on a kibbutz. She was in the “orange” group, the group of kids that she grew up with and did everything with and regarded them as brothers and sisters. She only saw her parents on weekends even though they lived on the same kibbutz she called them by their first names. I couldn’t believe that this beautiful, well spoken, happy person grew up with out her parents and real siblings. She spoke to all of us with a sparkle in her eyes and seemed like she had no hatred towards her parents for not being there for her and sharing their lives with her. Today, she calls her parents Ima and Aba, she has 4 kids and has chosen to be very involved in their lives and connect with then, get to know them and be there for them.
Next up was Sivan Yaari - Founder and CEO of Innovation Africa. I won’t go into the details of the talk as Is like you to do yourself a favor and Google this woman and see what she has accomplished. Wow. Just. Wow.
Zeev Ben Shachar has been a keynote speaker on Israel in conferences, Jewish communities and college campuses around the world. He previously served as Director of Israel Education at Jerusalem U, a global nonprofit whose goal is to connect young Jews to Israel and Judaism through educational films.
I have never been one to understand politics, war, anti-Semitism and the harshness that comes with all of this, however his background is psychology and he said a few things that I took in: we are what we repeatedly do; create a daily/weekly habit you can take on that will make a difference in Perth; forgive one person each day and lastly it takes 66 days to break a habit!
Alot to think about.
Sending love and light from Jaffa en route to Tiberius.
